Gateway to Yellowstone Park and the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness
The Diamond Bar D Hunting Lodge / B&B is operating under it's original name
of CREVICE MOUNTAIN LODGE. Still the same beautiful, rustic place under the
same ownership. Located at an elevation of 8300', guests are able to view a
vast expanse of Yellowstone National Park from the ranch. Guests are invited
to enjoy their vacation in an unstructured environment. There is great
hiking in any direction. Many guests enjoy mountain biking or cross country
skiing. We can get you set up with white water rafting, fly fishing or
scenic trail rides. The one million plus acres of the Absaroka-Beartooth
Wilderness start 1 mile from the ranch.
 We are bordered on one side by the Yellowstone National Park boundary, and enjoy the presence of many of the animals native to Yellowstone Park. We have a "brown chapel in the wild woods" available for weddings or small retreats. Many beautiful weddings have taken place in serene beauty of the Crevice Mountain Lodge setting. Soaking in the hot tub, taking a short educational nature hike, exploring the old gold ghost town, roasting marshmallows under the beautiful expanse of stars from the mountain top, give you a chance to experience Montana off the beaten path.  Gold mining started on Crevice in the 1870's and the rustic, historic environment can still be experienced.
The Crevice Mountain Lodge offers photographers panoramic views of beautiful
Yellowstone National Park and lots of wild animals to photograph. You can
hike miles of wilderness or cross country ski, snowshoe or snowmobile in
winter. A wonderland of trails welcome horseback riders. After a day of
hiking or riding you can come back to our hot tub to soak away your
troubles in paradise. |
